gibson's girl flash
Historical
The women illustrated by Charles Dana Gibson in the 1920s evolved into symbols of ideal beauty in the United States. These images had a significant influence on early tattoo artists, contributing to the development of the popular Pin-up head designs. Nearly a century later, after numerous transformations in their structures and significance, these women continue to be integral to our visual culture. In this series, I delved into the iconography of this timeless theme and explored its reinterpretation over the years.
