TatTOOing-Performance

Work Card (original “Carteira de Trabalho") by TAIOM is a tattooing-performance that was presented at the 1º Salão Vermelho de Artes Degeneradas in Ateliê Sanitário on May 1, 2019, in Rio de Janeiro, and also at the exhibition "O que não é floresta é prisão política" at Galeria ReOcupa on November 20, 2019, in São Paulo.

TAIOM has been working since 18. Despite having completed tertiary education and being a professional for many years, he has never been part of the formal job market.

The profession of a tattoo artist, while recognized, has never been officially regulated or granted state guarantees.

Confronted with the imminent erosion of workers' rights and having always been on the margins, TAIOM began the piece by creating sketches, drawings, and textual interventions on his official work document, the 'Carteira de Trabalho' (Work Card).
